Friday Evening at Fenny's

A place situated in the heart of the city Koramangala. This place is on the terrace. An apt name to denote and bring Goa back at Bangalore.

This place, Fenny's Kitchen Lounge. Is one of the most happening place in Bangalore. On a Friday evening this place was packed. It had the best looking crowd, chilling, relaxing, unwinding to the scratching skills of the wonderful DJs , drinks of bartenders and fireskills of a few bartenders.

                               Whole place had the feel of relaxation. It spoke loudly about letting yourself loose and dancing to the tunes. Situated at the top gives a very great look of the city roads , its busy people , rushing towards something .
It makes you feel like you have paused for a moment and you are letting yourself pamper. When you talk about uwinding and relaxing and the menu holds the best whiskey Black Dog Scotch 12 years who would bother looking at anything else.
                We ordered Black Dog Scotch. As soon as we held a glass of the purest whiskey, the golden shinning liquid, crisp aroma and soft taste just came to my mind. Mind you! It failed in nothing .
                         We ordered some of the best finger picking, munching side dishes. This place does serve one of the best food. It was awesome.
Paneer was so soft , I felt like it melted in my mouth. It was seasoned and marinated with herbs that left a very nice taste . Paired it with Black Dog Scotch Whiskey and mild tastes of softest paneer . This was a match made in heaven.
                    This dish rules!! A must order. Potato stuffed with beef bolgonese was mind blowing. It was mouth watering, extremely tasty. Just cannot enough praise about it.
                             With three glasses of Black Dog Scotch down . I was feeling so light. All the ladies in the bar were invited to come towards the bar and there were free shooters for all the ladies . They performed to the best music. Bartenders did show off their skills with fire. I was feeling so awesome looking at it. My head was definitely lighter and clearer. I was able to enjoy the intrigue beauty of every skill. How this world would not be perfect without everyone not doing their job well.
                                This is a must visit place. Do try Black Dog Scotch 12 year old. To let yourself loose and enjoy the party. Black Dog has always been a choice and delight of a scotch connoisseur .

Black Dog Comedy Evenings with Russel Peters

A person who needs no introduction is Russel Peters. We spent hours before our computers listening to him enthralling the audience with his awesome jokes. He has always brought smile and laughter on everyone's face.
He has spread joy like no one else does. They say one of the noblest profession is to make one smile. It's none other than our Canadian Indian born standup comedian Russel Peter who left Bangalore in splits. People laughed so hard that from entire Bangalore could feel ripples of joy sweeping through them.

He started it by telling "I'm here to ruffle some feathers, make people uncomfortable". He is known for his racist jokes. People with light heart and easy thinking find it funny. He did not use any of his old shows as he says it not like music that people will enjoy age old stuff here. "I won't be presenting any of the old material. It's not like music, where you can make one hit song and sing it for 30 years. So don't come out expecting the classics".

               The hall was fully packed. The tickets were sold and rage was created.
It was Russel Peters who was performing. It was a fun filled day.
                      It was around 6pm when we entered the hall but it was delayed by 30 minutes. It did make us restless but Rusty Dooley covered it up by making us all laugh at this funny jokes. He kept picking people from audience and started cracking jokes at them. It was hilarious. He did make fun of guys in India holding hands and walking. Ha haa. Definitely , deserved it!
               Russel was with his classic jokes on Chinese, Indian accent.
Yeah, that popular joke of his "Someone is gonna be hurt rrreal bad" was performed here. The one about his dad I believe.
It was Russel Peters of course he leaves no man frowning . He made the whole crowd laugh.

Thanks to Black Dog for such a beautiful evening with Russel. Black Dog has always been there to make the world not only enjoy its perfect flavor but has time and again brought laughter, style, fashion ,dance,artiste from around the world to make the evenings a perfect and easy evenings to just Unwind and Relax.

Sctoch Whiskey Marinated Steaks

Ingrediants:
                    1/3 cup of Scotch Wiskey preferred Black Dog
                    1/4 cup Brown Sugar
                    1/3 cup Soy Sauce
                    1 onion finely chopped
                    4 chicken steaks

In a container large enough to hold the steaks, combine all ingredients for marinade. Place steaks in marinade and leave in refrigerator overnight. Remove steaks from marinade and broil as desired.

Sit down to drink

Let me first clear this out I am no Oprah Winfrey to discuss about relationships.
Every day pressure and tension lead to frustration and misunderstanding .

It might a feud with your spouse, friend, boss, children, parents, auto-walas(OMG! Let us not start talking about Bangalore autowalas). There are a lot of good things that could happen once you are calm and relaxed . Same way a lot of mishaps are bound to occur when you are under pressure.
How many times have we not regretted some breakups, a few words we told , a few hearts we broke. Its natural tendency for every human being to have disagreements but what is important is how we move on. How we put the bad things and memories behind us and look forward for a new day.
"Sit down to drink" is all about sitting down and sipping your favorite drink rather than arguing and losing your spite. We all are unique and we have many things we do not like about each other. Rather than adding fuel to the spark and opening mouth to only destroy the beauty of a relation its better to sit down and drink. When a person before you speaks louder than you either cower or raise your voice back but did you ever try sharing a drink when the argument gets all steamy .

I would not suggest getting high but sit down and pour Black Dog Scotch Whiskey into clean frozen glasses. Swirl it a little for it to open up . Femina Miss India 2013 Pageant and Black Dog

              All that glittered at Ponds Femina Miss India 2013 on Sunday evening was gold indeed. All the models were dressed perfectly in gold gowns and beautiful light shimmer makeup. This color radiated throughout the evening from the theme to the details in the contestants' gowns.


                       Finally Navneet Kaur Dhillion (20) won the title of Miss India 2013. She would represent India in Miss World Beauty Pageant , 2013.
The second runner up was (my favorite indeed) graceful lady from Vishakapatnam,   Sobhita Dhulipala and the second runner up Zoya Afroz (18) from Lucknow, Land of Nawabs.

Priyanka Chopra , Miss India , 2000 told the three to appreciate the crown. "It stays with you forever. It changes you from who you could have been to who you are going to be".
While I enjoyed this pageant sitting with all my girls. We opened a bottle of Black Dog Scotch Whiskey amongst us. Everyone had their drink some took it down neat and clean , while a few chose on the rocks and others ruined it with coke. I can understand though newbies they'll soon get over with it.
It was a fun packed evening watching the whole stage decorated in golden with a few beautiful girls gracing the Indian audience with their sheer intelligence and beauty.
The show was power packed by awesome performance by our very own Mrs. Aishwarya Rai Bachan. She looked slimmer and more graceful .

Along with Priyanka Chopra dancing to the tune of Desi Girl , in a refined version.

I would reserve my comments on it but I believe the quality of Miss India selection should increase. We have to find better than the best.
Priyanka, Aishwarya, Sushmita, Diya, Lara, Yukta should happen over and again.
India needs beauty with brains .
Hope we have much better girls the next year until then I will cherish everyday of my life with my favorite girls and my best friends Black Dog Scotch.

Samarkand & Black Dog Tales

We won coupons worth Rs.5000/- to any BJN Group Restaurants on getting second place in Bay Decoration Competition. We had chosen a theme called ‘100 Years of Indian Cinema’.

We drilled down to Samarkand . We had heard a lot about this restaurant. Heard that it servers the best food and it is one of the oldest in the city. I trust BJN Group to maintain their standards and make any city tastier.

Samarkand can be found on Infantry Road, to be precise girls! It’s just behind Safina Plaza.

Name Samarkand comes from a place in Uzbekistan. Samarkand was the birth place of Mughal Ruler Babur, the founder of Mughal Dynasty in India.

Samarkand is an up market restaurant in Bangalore. It is one of kind and favorite place to dine-out amongst many connoisseurs of food.

Moving to their mouth watering menu,

Menu at Samarkand is a replica of an old newspaper which gives wonderful information about the culture and its cuisines. It is very innovative and apt for the restaurants visual appeal. I could see many struggling to read the menu maybe because of the light print or lighting conditions. These minor things could be ignored when the food is so delectable.

Menu was so awesome that I almost felt nostalgic reading it. Mughlai dishes were so beautifully named that I was about to drool and faint over the menu itself. Sanjeev Kapoor said in one of the shows that naming your dish is as important as the taste.

They draw an analogy between battle and eating. They say starting out in the right manner is critical.

So they have Shorbas (Shorba in Urdu is simply gravy): Tamater ka shorba , chooze ka shorba.

Kebabs , who does not like kebabs. They quote so well that fire was invented only to make kebabs.

We ordered Anjeer Kabab. (Veg) It is worth a try. It was not oily, cottage cheese filled with figs. It was such a new thing. Never ever tasted something like this.

Tandoor Pompfret is also worth trying. Very good fish it was more on healthy side as it was not fried too.

We ordered Non Veg Platter was very good. Expensive in fact very expensive but taste was unmatched.

Yet to explore the entire menu. Meanwhile had a few other things like Veg Biryani.

The Biryani was superb. It was the finest in Bangalore. I am updating my food DB with the best biryani is given dum in Samarkand.

One more thing never to forget is Nalli Ka Salan. Nalli in urdu is limbs. I can still remember the taste of the salan. It was rich in cinamom taste and light Indian masala. They give along with it khameer ki roti. Khameer is yeast so yeast makes the tandoori roti very soft.

In Desserts kulfi, phirni, qubani ka meeta were good. In entire Bangalore am yet to find a place which servers the best Qubani ka meeta. Did not match the taste of home nor Hyderabad.

Variety of beverages were present from Alchoholic to Non Alcholic. I had Black Dog Scotch . The good taste of Black Dog went really well while sipping with less oily finger tip using food. Specially with NV platter as I told everything was smoked or grill cooked .

It was a perfect lunch with my colleagues, good food and Black Dog Scotch.

Black Dog as it is a premier quality drink it is available at all the best restaurants in the town. Black Dog has been known for its classy and unique taste.
