Why go naked?

It is about feeling relaxed, comfortable and free. Imagine walking on a glorious sunny day, wild flowers in full bloom, the alluring green of the South Downs, and the pleasure of the company of like minded people. Reason enough for many to walk in the countryside, but walking without the encumbrance of clothes enhances the experience many times over. "Why be a naturist, why go naked?" is really the wrong question. The real question is, "Why not?". What really stops you?

After a long day, you arrive home hot and tired. After a quick drink, you enjoy the feeling of a nice shower, many people do You enjoy it not just because it gets you clean. It feels good, refreshing, there is a sensual element. If you recognise what I mean, you are just a short step from naturism, this is what it is all about, feeling good. Being naked around the house or garden simply prolongs the pleasant feeling.

To me naturism greatly improves my life, my happiness. My belief in the rightness of this lifestyle is as genuine as any belief in religious ideals. I recognise that nudity causes some people problems so I am very careful not to offend them, but I also recognise that I have rights to my beliefs, the same way as they have theirs.

Experiencing a socially nude environment, people find that any embarrassment disappears very quickly. The barrier to social nudity is far harder to overcome from the clothed side. Once the initial unfamiliar feeling has gone, most are left with a strong impression that no real problem ever existed. I would recommend that in the privacy of your own home, take your clothes off and go about your normal routine. It may feel strange for a while, but enjoy the experience, naturists do!
