A week ago after a busy Saturday. Yes! I Worked on a Saturday. We went to meet my very close buddy Abhi. I took Four Seasons wine with me.
The entire experience of drinking it was amazing.
People say wine is a girl's drink. I believe wine is a passionate person's drink.
Love what Ernest Hemingway says about wine.
Wine is one the most civilized things in the world and one of the most natural things to the world that has been brought to the greatest perfection, and it offers a greater range for enjoyment and appreciation than, possibly, any other purely sensory thing.

The taste was so good that it made read about it for hours and hours.
Finally, I am writing this to summarize it in the simplest form possible.
What is wine?
Wine is an alcoholic beverage obtained from fermentation of the juice of the freshly harvested grapes.
Fermentation is the process by which the sugar in the grapes is converted to alcohol through interaction with yeasts. Heat and carbon dioxide are the by products.
Best wine is a result of best quality of grapes, hygiene standards, method of fermentation, possible adjustments of grapes, aging requirements for the wine before its bottled , labelled and shipped. The winemaker is the person who looks into these things. He intervenes in the process to affect the style and quality of the wine.

TYPES OF WINE
Colors
Wine comes in three colors - red, white and rose. Generally, white wine is made form white grapes, red and rose are made from red grapes. The color of wine comes from pigments in the grape skin which are leached out during the process of fermentation. The grape juice itself is colorless.
Sweetness
There are four levels of sweetness in a wine - dry,off dry (also called medium dry), medium sweet and sweet.
Sweetness is due to natural sugar in grapes, sweetness levels result from how long the wine has been fermented. If the fermentation process run s to completion ,the wine will be dry. If the fermentation process is stopped by the winemaker prior to its natural end , the wine will be sweeter.
Still, Sparkling and Fortified
Still wine , during fermentation carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere.
Sparkling wine, carbon dioxide is purposefully retained in the wine. That creates the fizz of 'sparkle'.
Fortified wine are still wines whose alcohol percentage is higher usually 11% to 14% alcohol in Sill & Sparkling while fortified wines have about 16 - 20% alcohol. The reason for the higher alcohol content is that the winemaker stops the fermentation process early by adding alcohol grape spirit.
Grape Varieties
Wine, as we know,is made from grapes. Not just any grape, but rather particular types of grapes that are only used to make wine. These types of grapes , which are knows as grape varieties , come from a species of vine called 'vitis vinifera'.
Viognier
Pronounced as Vi-oh-knee-ay. Viognier is a relatively rare white grape which is associated mainly iwth the Rhone Valley in France. Other countries that grow this grape are Australia, California , South Africa and India.
It is very popular because of its appealing aromas and flavours. Violets,pears,peaches, apricots, yellow apples and a light spiceness are the most commonly cited characteristics of the variety.
Viognier can be a varietal or a blend. It makes wines that are full bodied and quite high in alcohol. It should be enjoyed while young, between two and four years of bottling.

Lovely medium gold color. Intense perfume of blossom, with delicate hints of white apple, dried apricots and peaches balanced by a hint of spice. Well -rounded with balancing acidity and an attractive lingering finish.

I am so much in love with this wine that I am definitely gonna write length about it as I explore. I cannot wait to explore the pink color looking very attractive wine - Blush. It looks so good. Heard it goes really good with the Indian cuisine.
